Minneapolis firm produces KrustyO's to promote 'Simpsons' movie

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) Don't have a cow, man but you won't be able to find Krusty-O's cereal in Minnesota stores.

As part of a promotion for the upcoming "Simpsons" movie, Minneapolis-based Malt-O-Meal is producing a limited run of cereal branded as Krusty-O's.

The special boxes, featuring the cartoonish Krusty the Clown, will be sold at a handful of 7-Elevens that have been remade into Simpsons-style Kwik-E Marts.

The Krusty-O's cereal is available only at select 7-Eleven stores, and the nearest one is in Chicago.

Minneapolis ad executive Bill Hillsman, who works with Malt-O-Meal, says the product is Tootie Frooties in a Krusty-O's box. He says all Malt-O-Meal did was manufacture the cereal under contract.
