(From Don Haney, KFGO) Fargo, N.D. (AP) Two Fargo men face charges after allegedly chopping down a tree this week while drunk.

Police say the men told officers they couldn't find any wood for their fire pit. So they went after a tree in what they thought was a city park.

Police say the men thought that trees in city parks were public property so it was O-K to cut one down.

Well, turns out it wasn't O-K.

It also turns out that the tree was on private property anyway.
