Game 4 in World Series...Weather changes in Southern California...Battle in Afghanistan DENVER (AP) The Red Sox will try for their seventh championship when they play the Rockies Sunday in Game 4 of the World Series. Boston beat Colorado, 10-5, putting them up three games to none.

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER (AP) Astronauts from the shuttle Discovery embark on the second of five scheduled spacewalks on Sunday. They'll install handrails and other equipment to the outside of a newly-installed live-in compartment at the international space station.

LAKE ARROWHEAD, Calif. (AP) After cooler temperatures helped firefighters make gains on wildfires burning across Southern California, forecasters expect warmer and drier weather Sunday.

Authorities say they're "cautiously optimistic" about the temperatures.

MIAMI (AP) The 16th tropical depression of the Atlantic hurricane season has formed, prompting officials to issue storm warnings in Haiti and a watch in Cuba. The National Hurricane Center says the depression could bring six to 10 inches of rain or more to the region.

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) About 80 Taliban fighters are dead after a six-hour battle with coalition forces in southern Afghanistan. The fight began when militants attacked a U.S. and Afghan patrol with rockets and gunfire. The coalition forces then called in attack aircraft.
