Ornament on White House tree commemorates Yellowstone

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) An ornament commemorating Yellowstone National Park hangs on the White House Christmas tree.

The Yellowstone ornament portrays a winter scene with some of the park's notable sights, including bison and a thermal pool.

Yellowstone elk are shown pulling Santa's sleigh.

The artist is Lynn Chan, a landscape architect for the park.

The Yellowstone ornament is one of 391 national park ornaments on the White House tree.
