Postmaster quits after pot arrests

Eds: APNewsNow.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) The Sioux Falls postmaster has resigned, several weeks after police arrested her husband and daughter for marijuana possession.

A spokesman for the U.S. Postal Service declined to comment on Kim Pritchard's resignation except to say that she left voluntarily on March 6th.

Fifty-year-old Johnnie Pritchard and 20-year-old Erica Pritchard are charged with possession of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute after police said they found 17 marijuana plants and supplies for growing pot in a home.
