PIERRE, S.D. (AP) Vietnam veterans from the Pierre area plan to gather at the South Dakota Vietnam War Memorial on Saturday to observe a milestone.

That Saturday marks the 35th anniversary of the final withdrawal of U.S. troops from the Vietnam War.

Veteran Wade Hubbard says the local Vietnam Era Veterans group will hold a short ceremony at 11 a.m. at the memorial near Capitol Lake.

Hubbard says residents are invited to attend the ceremony, which will include speeches and a playing of Taps.
