Associated Press NEW YORK (AP) New record highs are being seen for both oil futures and Gas Prices at the pump. Crude surged to nearly $114 a barrel in New York. Washington (AP) Some members of Congress complain that the proposed combination of Northwest and Delta airlines will be bad for consumers, but regulators are not seen blocking the deal. Experts say the two airlines have few overlapping routes and won't raise the ire of the Justice Department on antitrust grounds. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) A new report says Southern California home values plummeted 24 percent in March, compared to a year earlier. DataQuick Information Services says the median price in a six-county region stood at $385,000, down from a record $505,000 in the previous year. BOSTON (AP) The Boston Marathon is breaking with a 112-year tradition. It will put corporate ads on the start and finish lines to help its two main sponsors get more value from their ties with the marathon. The two are John Hancock Financial Services and Adidas.
