Associated Press NEW YORK (AP) Stocks lost ground as oil spiked. The Dow fell 104 points to 12,720. The S&P lost 12 and the Nasdaq composite dropped 31. NEW YORK (AP) Crude futures were knocking on the door of $120 a barrel. Near-month crude settled with a gain of $1.89 at a record $119.37 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Washington (AP) There's no end in sight for the housing slump. The National Association of Realtors says sales of existing homes fell 2 percent in March. The report on new home sales is due on Thursday. NEW YORK (AP) By one measure, efforts to aid troubled borrowers are still falling short. It finds that 70 percent of homeowners who are two months behind on their mortgages still aren't getting help. The State Foreclosure Prevention Working Group says of borrowers receiving help, only one in three completed a workout within 45 days. NEW YORK (AP) Yahoo's quarterly earnings more than tripled.
