Clinton win means money...Texas children's DNA...Diet and baby gender...Apr 23 2008 11:54AM
Associated Press Washington (AP) Hillary Rodham Clinton says she raised 3 million dollars in the hours after her Pennsylvania primary victory. She also says her 10-point win over Barack Obama proves she would be the stronger challenger against Republican John McCain. Both she and Obama have turned their attention to contests in Indiana and North Carolina. RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) The Republican Party in North Carolina is launching a television ad that describes Barack Obama as too extreme for the state. It once again links Obama to the comments of his controversial former pastor. John McCain has been trying unsuccessfully to talk the party out of it. He says there's "no place for that kind of campaigning." WASHINGTON (AP) Army General David Petraeus (peh-TRAY'-us) is being promoted from the leader of U.S. troops in Iraq to the head of U.S. Central Command. Defense Secretary Gates expects the shift in Mideast command in late summer or early fall. He says President Bush will also nominate Army Lieutenant General Ray Odierno (oh-dee-EHR'-noh) to replace Petraeus in Baghdad. SAN ANGELO, Texas (AP) Texas authorities have finished taking DNA samples from all the children removed from a polygamist compound more than two weeks ago. Technicians are still taking samples from parents. The court-ordered samples will be used to try to sort out the complicated family relationships at the compound. UNDATED (AP) Hoping your pregnancy will result in a baby boy? Eat bananas and cereal before you get pregnant. British researchers have found that having a hearty appetite, eating potassium-rich foods and not skipping breakfast all seemed to raise the odds of having a boy.
