New Salem, N.D. (AP) Officials say a Tornado in Morton County damaged farms but caused no injuries.

Morton County Emergency Manager Tammy Lapp-Harris says the farms near New Salem suffered severe damage from the storm late Saturday night, though the homes were untouched. The storm system moved through the area about 9 p.m.

The National Weather Service also reported a number of other funnel cloud sightings. Tree damage was reported around Oakes, and hail was reported just west of Lisbon. A line of thunderstorms moved through eastern North Dakota.
