Associated Press MOSCOW (AP) Russian President Dmitry Medvedev (dih-MEE'-tree med-VEHD'-ev) has agreed to a proposal calling for both Russian and Georgian troops to move back to their initial positions and stop fighting. But he says Russian peacekeepers will remain in Georgia's breakaway provinces. Georgia has not yet agreed to the plan. BAGHDAD (AP) The U.S. military says a female suicide bomber has struck an Iraqi Army convoy in Baqouba (bah-KOO'-bah). It was carrying senior officials. At least two people were killed. It's the second suicide attack by a woman in Diyala's (dee-YAH'-lahz) provincial capital in as many days. NEW YORK (AP) Attorney General Michael Mukasey (myoo-KAY'-zee) says former Justice Department officials will not face prosecution for letting improper political considerations drive hirings of prosecutors, judges and lawyers. He says two joint reports found violations of civil service laws, but he adds "not every wrong" is a crime. CHICAGO (AP) Victims of clergy sex abuse and their attorneys say they've reached settlements in lawsuits involving 10 Catholic priests in the Archdiocese of Chicago. They say the priests include Daniel McCormack, who was sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty last year to abusing five boys. HillsboroUGH, N.C. (AP) A student accused of driving his car through a gathering spot on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006 has pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted murder.
