New Web site links Montanans to rental housingAug 18 2008 3:24PM
Associated Press HELENA, Mont. (AP) Gov. Brian Schweitzer has announced a new Web site designed to link Montanans to a wide range of rental housing choices. MTHousingSearch.com provides free, real-time rental housing information to people looking to list or find rental property. It was developed by the Montana Department of Commerce Housing Division, the Montana Board of Housing and the national nonprofit group Socialserve.com. Schweitzer says the easy-to-use Web site is a "remarkable tool" that will "revolutionize" how people find rental housing in Montana. Commerce Director Anthony Preite says the site already lists more than 3,000 rental units across the state, including affordable and special needs housing. The site supports property searches in English and Spanish, and allows prospective tenants to access directions. On the Net: http://www.mthousingsearch.com/ (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press.
