Today's order follows up on a ruling from the state Supreme Court last month that same-sex couples have a right to be married. NEW YORK (AP) Stocks are down for a third straight day. The latest declines come amid new evidence that consumers are sharply cutting back on spending. Department store operator Macy's says it lost $44 million in the third quarter. Paulson has been drawing lots of criticism from different directions, while other industries also want the government's help. OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The man who helped get the Iraq war started, retired U.S. Army Gen. Tommy Franks, says with time, President-elect Obama will "do the right thing" when it comes to the war.
