Associated Press LOS ANGELES (AP) "No trees, no buildings," is how a resident returning to her mobile home park in Los Angeles describes the burned out area. One of three wildfires burned hundreds of units in the park. Officials are relieved after cadaver dogs searched the area and found no dead victims. CONSTABLEVILLE, N.Y. (AP) The Great Lakes region is covered in snow, two feet deep in some parts. A storm dumped 24 inches of snow in part of New York. Part of Michigan got one and a-half feet. The storm has moved south toward West Virginia and Maryland. Washington (AP) Auto industry executives will make their case for a bailout for their struggling companies tomorrow on Capitol Hill. They'll testify at a Senate Banking Committee hearing. Democrats are fighting to be able to divert part of the Wall Street rescue money to loans for U.S. auto companies. WASHINGTON (AP) Sen. Joe Lieberman may get to keep his committee chairmanship after all. Democratic aides say it's now likely he'll only lose a subcommittee chairmanship. Some colleagues want the Democrat-turned-independent lawmaker punished for actively campaigning for John McCain for president. DALLAS (AP) A missing person case is now a homicide investigation in Texas. Officials have identified the remains of an Alzheimer's patient almost seven years after the 70-year-old woman disappeared. The woman went missing during a layover at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. The remains were found last year. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
