A Bismarck man throws a party tonight to cheer on his niece competing in tonight's big finale of 'The Amazing Race'

It was an exciting night for Bismark resident Dan Vondracheck

Tonight, his niece, Dustin Konzelman, competed in the All-Star series of the Amazing Race, racing around the world for a million dollars

With family and friends at his side, Dan nervously watched tonight's episode to find out if his niece would be the next winner

Dustin is Miss California 2005. Her partner on the show is Kandice, miss New York 2005

The duo met at the Miss America pageant

Last year, they competed on the CBS Show

This season, they were asked to compete in the All-Star series

And tonight, Dustin and Kandice were one of the remaining three teams going for a win

Her uncle says going into this evening, he had no idea how the show would end.

(Dan Vondracheck, Dustin's Uncle): "As far as the results of tonight's show, I have no idea... absolutely zero. I have no clue what's going to happen. We're just wishing them well... celebrating and cheering on Dusti and Candace and that's all I can say."


As it turns out, Dustin and Kandice went into tonight's episode in third place and finished in second

Dan says it's been difficult watching them compete the last several weeks.

(Dan): "They have done some dangerous things. They've also eaten some crazy foods, and done some things that there's no way that I would've done ever. I spent 32 in the North Dakota National Guard in military training, and some of the things they've done far exceeded anything I've done in my military training. I mean, she drove a tank, they've been in a landing zone in a helicopter. I mean, they've done some things that have just been pheonominal."


Dustin and Kandice will appears on the CBS Early Morning Show tomorrow morning to talk about their race
