Bismarck State College offers a noon concert of all-Baroque music Thursday, Nov. 13, in the Leach Music Center.
Two faculty soloists, vocalist Clyde Bauman and pianist Diane Eichhorst, and seven
BSC ensembles will perform during the one-hour concert presented at no charge to the public.
The Guitar Ensemble and Piano Ensemble will explore three works by J.S. Bach. The Woodwind Ensemble plays Corelli's "Gigue." The Brass Ensemble will do Purcell's "Air and Allegro from King Arthur Suite," and the String Ensemble performs the first movement of a Handel sonata.
BSC's new choral director, John Weiss, leads the Concert Choir in Bach's "Aria" from "Suite in D Major" and the Women's Ensemble in "Sing a Song of Sixpence (with Apologies to Handel)" by Michael Diak. Other ensemble directors are John Darling, Doug Klein, Eric Lawson, and Arlene Gray.
