Texas school dominates men's team standings in collegiate rodeo

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) Ranger College of Texas dominates the men's team standings, in the College National Finals Rodeo.

A performance by sophomore Steve Dent yesterday at the finals in Casper, Wyoming, helped the Ranger cowboys advance. In the overall standings, dent is third in bareback riding and second in saddle bronc riding.

Ranger College revived its rodeo program last year after a 25-year lapse.

Competition in the College National Finals Rodeo resumes this evening.
