New home for BCA...Cubs close to re-signing Dempster...Drexel wins neighborhood battle

NEW YORK (AP) The BCS is moving from its current home to ESPN for four years beginning in 2011. ESPN announced today that it had outbid Fox for the postseason package.

CHICAGO (AP) A baseball official with knowledge of the negotiations tells The Associated Press that pitcher Ryan Dempster and the Chicago Cubs are close to agreement on a four-year contract worth about $52 million. The 31-year-old right-hander went 17-6 with a 2.96 ERA for the Cubs last season before going on the free agent market.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) The closest geographical rivals in college Basketball met on the court today in Philadelphia and Drexel ended up beating Penn 66-64. The Colonial Athletic Association Dragon's and Ivy League Quakers are separated by only four blocks.
