"I have the redneck edukation" You try bring an incenduary statement out of context, what's your agenda. Many far flung dominant cultures, have an indoctrinating education regime that shall we say is hostile to the idea of a native language or culture. Language and history it would appear are a little shall we say lapse on your intent, or perhaps not, am I speaking to a future politician who is honing skills for the great bureaucracy. Perhaps some latent aryan complex who needs to blossom. You may be well on your way to developing a spaceship mentality, keep up the good work. I believe in present company one had the belief that given a finger on the big red button they would actually push it. A very scary thought. Reply...
the religious right is everything that is wrong with this country. this is a secular nation. i dont think religion should have any say in the government Reply...
Sheila, I need my sleep! but one last comment.
You are correct in that there are many different christians denominations... some handle snakes (yikes), most don't, some believe in rapture, a few don't.
All should believe in VIRGIN BIRTH , DIVINE CREATION, CHRIST AS SON OF GOD, CHRIST DEATH, CHRIST BURIAL, CHRIST RESURRECTION, CHRIST RETURN, JUDGEMENT, HEAVEN AND HELL.
all else to me is just differnces in denomination... if you have the basics right, we usually consider you a "christian".. otherwise , we believe you to be a cult..
lots of churches are now denying the virgin birth.. These folks are not christians. in my humble opinion..
good night again... zzzzzz Reply...
Israel is now recognized as a sovereign nation as of sixty years ago. The UN recognizes Israel in the general assembly, and the UN condemns by a nearly unanimous vote the separation wall and has called for it to be destroyed. What do you have to say about the wall and the people who condemn its construction and the idea behind it? Reply...
Sorry you feel that way...I have a personal relationship with Jesus...it is what defines me. I doubt that many Muslims or non-messianic Jews can say the same thing. It is not semantics, but rather a life changing knowldge of the risen Christ. I'm leaving tomorrow on a business trip...down to KC for a few days. Hoping my hotel has a business room with internet access. I do enjoy our discussions, but as you can understand, when broad erroneous remarks are made about my faith and Christ...I will defend. I'm sure if I grouped all atheists into one category and made broad statements based on horrific acts committed by a few, you would find offense. There is nothing wrong with agreeing to disagree. You still have not answered my question from 3 days ago. Is Israel a sovereign nation, and does she have the right to protect herself. That was the topic I began this forum to discuss... Reply...
Oh, I understand the prophecies, but they are very loose in their scope and apt to be applied at any time. They have been applied at many times, and the very same ones you quote. The world didn't end then and it's not going to end now. My soul is not lost. I reclaimed it and it is my own now. What I'm trying to point out is that people who worship the same god quibble and kill each other over what are very minor differences, a matter of semantics. I find it criminal that people are cruel or even commit murder over a matter of semantics. That's what I call getting carried away, and I want no association with anything like it. Killing over philosophical ideas is senseless, as is allowing cruelty to be perpetrated in the name of this so-called "merciful" god of yours. There are differences, but there are christian sects which have bigger differences between them than the abrahamic religions in general do. They are still included under the general definition of "christianity". Your talk of the rapture is one example. The difference between groups who believe in the virgin birth or transubstantiation or whether people should be baptized or not are details to me, but to a lot of people they're a huge difference, yet those people are not labeled "infidels" or "heretics". All three abrahamic religions recognize Jesus as a prophet, but only one claims he is the messiah. All of them worship the same god. There really is no measurable difference. Reply...
Spoken like a true atheist...the details you refer to happen to be what distinguishes one faith from another. Believe it or not, your belief or lack thereof does bother me because you are a lost soul. I do not say that to condescend or define, but merely to identify. I feel for all those that have not found the truth yet. It bothers me when you make erroneous comments about my faith. What I believe bothers you is the fact that there are things in this world you cannot define or explain. Also, as I've pointed out there are hundreds of prophecies in the Bible that have already come true. That is difficult to understand or explain for those that do not have faith. Reply...
Sheila is right, we are just discussing, and I enjoy it. Yes, if after much thought you decide as you do, then thats that.
good night... Reply...
I'm saying that the differences between the three are only in the details. Now I know what the saying means, "the devil is in the details". It means that people can get so hung up on the details that they focus on the differences rather than the similarities. Endless tragedy and mischief ensues as a result. How am I harassing SG? I respond to her statements and ask her questions based on what she says. Sounds like a discussion to me. You, on the other hand, seem to have a huge problem with anyone who doesn't agree with you. Why does it bother you so much that I decided after a great deal of thought that I don't believe in a deity or care to follow a religion? It's not up to you, and there is nothing wrong with me disagreeing with you on that point. Reply...

If being overweight is being fat, yes I am, but not obese. I believe most everyone could lose a pound or two, don't you? Being overweight causes a lot of problems needless to say. No I don't waddle down the isles in WalMart like I see too many people do, it is disgusting to see where we are going with fast food, aka LARD! My Dad in the nursing home is 92 has a picture on the wall in his room taken back in the 30's of a CCC camp, about 200 men or so. Not one looks like they are overweight, except maybe the cook. We are what we eat! And we eat too much in my opinion. Being a diabetic I know about carbs, most people don't. This country is going down the tube. Our health care system is a mess, think about that the next time you order a BigMac with fries. The next time I see someone too fat to walk around in WalMart and using an electric chair because both of their cheeks weigh about 50 pounds each dragging on the chair wheels smoking I'm, going to remind them that gluttony is a SIN. Say Amen......On the other hand who has that right? You? Me? We are the so-called richest country in the world and we show it. Our Democracy shows it also. The DC trough where they hang out needs to be empty. The War Mongers are always hungry and they will take everything away from the people that feed them, US Peasants. Reply...
ndfinfan. I doubt he is either. Especially when the bible says he will have military power. I don't see Obama as having any power with military.

millions vanishing..... Wish it could be billions. These are sad times, so many people chose not to believe in God at all.
The end times will be horrific. I watched the last rambo the other night, it was about Burma and the slaughter of citizens, mainly christians.. It was worse than the movie saving private ryan... gruesome! this kind of thing is coming to all the world, be ready... Reply...
Are you fat Flapps? Lard will make you fat... Reply...
No SG...I don't believe Obama is the anti-Christ. Revelation says the anti-Christ will rise during end times and gain power from the former Roman Empire...possibly the EU. The Bible does not specifically state which nation he will come from. However, it is revealed that the beast will wield great political and military power. To be honest with you, I don't think the beast will rise until after the church...the restrainer is removed. I believe it will happen very quickly and without much resistance. I also believe it will be someone that may not have been on the world stage prior to their "coming out". How would the vanishing of millions of people in the blink of an eye be reconciled by the world? I think many would be panic stricken...chaos would reign. The stage would be set for someone to take control...just my take. Reply...

Sheila...I'm sure you understand completely the differences in faith between Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. If you don't, simple research will give you some clues. Why do you keep badgering SG? You are trying to imply that because the same God is worshipped...they should all get along. I as a follower of Christ worship the same God as the Jehovahs Witness...however they have a very different belief of who Jesus is. I worship the same God as the Mormons...however they have a very different belief about Jesus. I tried telling you before...this all boils down to faith in Christ. For some perspective, read about what Islam teaches concerning Jesus. Reply...
Andrew, don't be naive, spelling and the english language are VERY important. Just because a person can struggle and read the jibberish you wrote, doesn't mean that we have the time to decipher and to read that way always.
we need rules of proper communication. Slang doesn't do it, and the paragraph you wrote doesn't do it either.. :) morning. Reply...
