I will be with family after I am done working Christmas Eve.
If they want to have political correctness, then everyone should have to work on Christmas. No banks closed, government offices, etc. Reply...
BIG CONGRATS FOSSILMAN! have a safe trip, and enjoy that grandchild... talk when you get back..... maybe even "post " a pic? :) Reply...
We are headed to Oregon for two weeks,do xmas there and see the birth of our new grandson..................... Reply...
Christmas.
I don't really know which way I lean. It seems ok for anyone that wants to celebrate it. I do like when sales people are allowed to be politically incorrect and actually say MERRY CHRISTMAS.... I do love to see towns that put up the nativity scene and not just santa and trees. I do love going to church and hearing the REAL christmas story over and over, it never gets old, still seems so wonderous to me...
Maybe the way I lean is that Christmas shouldn't be SANTITIZED.... we need to make sure no president or his minions change how we are permitted to celebrate it..
no banning of the words merrychristmas, no banning of the nativity scene...... no PUTTING DOWN US BELIEVERS....... celebrate it the way you want, and we will celebrate it the way we want..
I guess that is how I lean on this subject.
good morning... Reply...

MERRY CHRISTMAS, NOT MERRY X-MAS !!
I will say that I have tried to get onto that website you gave me from my home computer and it freezes up my computer everytime....BUT, when i try it from my daughters newer laptop, it goes thur every time...
have a great day, vivian Reply...
CJ. I suppose you are correct. But you know what......I don't even care anymore if it is hereditary or not. I've met too many people who are in long-standing loving relationships. They love each other just as much as any other couple. They are committed to each other just as much as any other couple. Their children are just as well-adjusted as any other children.
So....If it were to be proven some time in the future that my friend Eric, for whatever reason, became gay (as opposed to being born that way), it would not change my mind that he and Steve deserve to be married. And deserve all of the rights, privileges and headaches that come with it.
Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Reply...
I think the homosexual lifestyle CJ is probably one of the hardest things to come out of, BUT , it can be done. I do not know why your prayer was not anwered, you will have to ask God face to face someday.
WW, I hate bringing this into the mix because I will get HELL for it, but there is a living breathing devil who will and does PERVERT what God had intended for good.
CJ, is the homosexual lifestyle easy for you, or do sometimes you wish there still were a way out.... honest answer only please.. :)
I do not believe you were born this way, same as I don't believe a person was born to steal, drink (drunk) or abuse women.... its all a choice...
So WW when you say what entity invented adam and steve, the Bible says its the heart or the devil.
Mornin'
Homosexuals are not to be hated, they are to be loved as anyone else. But Christians cannot go along with the lifestyle. So anyone on these posts saying crude and rude things about the homosexual person is out of line.
I will admit I do have a major problem with the radical homosexual and the radical homosexual movement that tries to force the lifestyle down my throat. I have A MAJOR problem with the radicals that have parades where they are naked or dressed in drag, or where they will disrupt a church service to take communion as a joke in drag, or dressed as a nun..
CJ, is it just me,or do you also have a problem with the radical part of it?
lets chat...

Thanks Wu. I have a feeling if you got a response it would be that all homosexuals choose to be gay. As a gay man, I can honestly tell you all it was not a choice. I cried and pleaded with God to make me straight (back when I was a believer) and clearly, that didn't work. Years later, I'm a happy person just living his life.

For anyone who may be interested, the Bible is very clear on this issue...
In Romans chapter 1 verses 20 and following...it says.........."For since the creation of the world God;s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and the birds and animals and reptiles.
Therefore God gave them over in the sinful disires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised.
Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. IN the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done...............although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
God is the creator of the universe and all of us as well...whether you want to acknowlege it or not doesn't make it not true. It is not for us to judge one another ...that is God's job. But He is truth and His word is truth...He is compassionate and kind which is why he sent his son Jesus to the earth to pay the penalty for our sin....but he is also just and he judges righteously.
Homosexulaity according to God and his word is a perversion of the truth of how he created us to be......and he does not compromise on this issue anywhere throughout the bible. Nevertheless., he still loves and cares about all of us and wants us to love and care about each other...but that does not mean we need to agree with or support the homosexual lifestyle or gay marriage. God loves the sinner but hates the sin.............................that's just the way it is...........if you don;t agree with what I wrote form the bible you can take it up with God. Reply...

All inclusive "big Tent" party.... talk more tomorrow.. good night.. Reply...
Come on by, Shoppe!! I love throwing small parties! It's been a while for me though.
You know, here's an answer to your question, in a round about way, of course. If I was invited to someone's birthday party, that I didn't know, knowing it was going to be a big one, I probably wouldn't go unless I was interested in getting to know that person. There are some folks out there that just like parties for whatever reason. But, in this case, I think everyone should celebrate it, because Jesus came to save us all. Maybe in the right setting, some will actually accept His gift of salvation during the Christmas season. So, because the circumstances are so different, I think everyone should celebrate the birth of Christ. What do you think? Reply...

Shoppe. I'm just asking what entity created Adam and Steve......
or Eric and Steve, who's wedding pictures in San Francisco I did see? They DO, IN FACT, EXIST.....and exist as a couple......and despite the new proposition......a "married" couple.
(If) Given that God created all of the heterosexual couples, what entity created this homosexual couple? Reply...
